My pony is ridden in a dressage saddle and the buckles of the dressage girth seem to give her girth galls. It seems like her armpit seems to come over the buckles, yet it doesnt on other horses.
I have the

girth and it sits fine on other horses.
I now have a lemieux sheepskin for it and it helps, but when she gets hot it happens.
My mistake yesterday, washed cover, so didnt have it on, and wanted to sit on for 5 mins to assess her mood before a competition in walk, literally twice around arena in walk, and its back!!! Didnt think it would be a problem for such a small amount of "work" but apparently it is.

Is there any other type of girth, as it is obviously one that isnt suited to her, it fits great but the buckles seem to be in the way!!! Or do i need a longer one??

Any help appreciated :)

Hi there

I lost a whole summer with my TB due to girth galls from the Aerborn dressage girth. Have you used a slightly longer girth to see if it takes the buckles away from the elbows? With my old dressage I used an ordinary girth and put holes further up the dressage saddle so it was just like an ordinary girth. However with my new saddle I was unable to do this so I ended up using a forward cut dressage girth which took the girth away from the elbows.

I have put a link to an example one.
