Yard is running their last evening dressage on the 14th, so probably wont be doing much for ages now

They run prelim & novice, so it will be prelim 4 & novice 25 on the day.

Just wondering, how hard is Novice 25? (according to youtube, not very xD) Danny's hardly brilliant at medium paces but we're willing to have a try... if there's any rein back in it it could be fun

Just considering having a go as might as well make the most of our last opportunity to do any stressaging for a while!

Think it's worth it? or not?

Take a chance and have a go!

The medium paces don't matter- you normally only have to 'show some steps' anyway, so don't try to rush into them, you have all the time in the world! If you really struggle, then fake a bit- slow your trot or canter slightly coming into the corner before you do your medium steps and then ask forwards. It shows a bigger difference in stride length, so even if you don't get true medium strides it shows the judge that you're working towards them.

Good luck, and have fun!

(and I often find that horses improve when they're asked to do a Novice test- it gives them more to think about because there are a few more movements- nothing worse than a long side for the horse to become inattentive imho)

Accuracy helps the score. Marker to marker, size of circle/half circle indeed make sure a circle is a circle! Head up, breath and most of all relax and enjoy. Good luck.
