T and I went along to our local dressage league again last weekend to do P12 and N27. This was our first dressage outing since moving to our new yard and after a lesson with our instructor on the tuesday I was quietly confident we could pull off a couple of decent tests. The weather wasn't fantastic with strong winds but he just put his head down and went to work.
Prelim test was super, couple of moments when he would swing his quarters out (think this may have been mostly due to the wind) and a few moments where he tucked his chin and was a little overbent which is something we're working on at home. So pleasantly surprised for a 68% (3rd)- just shy of 69% - which is actually a personal best for him and even managed to sneak an 8 into our marks!
Novice again was super but starting to get a bit tired and distracted in which he comes a little deep and behind the bridle but mediums are there now and canter is becoming much stronger. Pleased with 65%(6th) which again is his PB at novice so I am confident things are still moving in the right direction!

And for comparison, this was Feb 2016:

Very well done, nice set of scores and great to have that improvement, and to know what you need to work on. I think the one thing that's better in your earlier pic is - you both look warmer haha! Even from the stills that looks like a cold windy day so well done on even getting out there!

Looks so good! Beautiful photos too! Was there a pro at the venue or do you have a tame photographer?

It was freezing and a struggle to keep a 17hh Torin upright in the wind! Very glad I learn my tests, felt awful for the people who had callers

Normally I have my dad with us who's very handy with a camera but in this case it was a semi-pro if you get what I mean, he's a regular at this venue as far as photography goes but I've never seen him photograph anywhere else :)
