Hi, our horses are about 6 miles from Market Harborough just inside Northants!

I would 100% recommend Peter Maddison-Greenwell at Holdenby for lessons. He has fabulous Spanish horses who are amazing to watch, and is an awesome instructor. He offers absolute clarity and doesn't miss anything. And I truly mean anything.

If you google him his website should come up. Can't remember if it is MG Equestrian or something like El Caballo. But Holdenby is well within an hours travel for you. They often do demos there, so if you wanted to check them out first then that might be worth doing?

Hope you find the right person for you anyway. Good luck - and welcome to a great area.

Thanks thats great i will google and see if i can look him up! just desperate to get stuck in this year did a few unaffiliated before christmas and was placed every time just dont know what comes next!!

he seems pretty well recommended i will hunt down his number and see what his like, its a bit of a trial with a new instructor cause everyone likes different things ! thanks!

Jenny Ward and Nick Creaton at Brampton Stables (about 20mis from MKT Hbh) are both excellent. Jenny is a BD competitor and judge, nick is a BHS examiner and has a wealth or experience, brought my riding on in leaps and bounds in just 6 months.
They both get very busy but worth a look. The horses there are also amazing if you cant ride yours for any reason or want practise on something else.

My trainer, Fiona Foy, from Somerset, comes to Leicestershire once a month to do a day at High Cross Equestrian Centre, Claybrooke Magna. Most of the horses at the sessions are Iberian, as she competes Andalucians, but she is happy to train all breeds, types and abilities. IMO she;s a brilliant instructor, but as you say, we're not all looking for the same things! She has a website.

thanks for reply, i have seen her listed on bd website and was going to give her a call but a friend said she was quite negative and hadnt got on with her but i might see if i can give her a try cause we are all different and like different things! how long does it usually take to get a gap for a lesson?
