Dressage jacket for unaff.

Hello all,

What is acceptable in terms of jackets for unaffiliated dressage?
BD rules say a dark coloured/conservative jacket, it is OK if it has a zipper instead of buttons? does it have to be a riding jacket?

My transport had been cancelled but have been able to find someone else to transport me last minute for prelim and novice this Sunday. After having a baby my jacket is way too small but have plenty of others non equestrian black jackets in the house so I am wondering if I can get away with that.

The schedule only says: "Correctly
fitting hard hats to PAS 015, BSEN 1384 or ASTM F1163
with three point fastening secured MUST be worn at all times when
mounted. Correct attire must be worn when riding."

I'd ring the organisers and explain - they are normally quite forgiving in unaffiliated comps good luck!
