I did it. I survived my first ever judging at a really friendly local competition venue where the YOs really believe in encouraging new dressage judges. Not earth shattering - just Intro A and Prelim 4 - felt like at least Grand Prix level!!! No disgruntled competitor let my tyres down, sprayed graffiti on the car or threw their coffee over me so either they're all incredibly well behaved or I left before anyone recognised me. Hope I was fair and constructive to everyone. I had a lovely, experienced writer and plenty of coffee to keep the -6C morning temperature at bay! Hope they ask me back!!!
Pointless post really - just wanted to thank my YO for encouraging me, believing in me and giving so much of her time, and the competition YOs for their readiness to give new judges a start. I'll sleep well tonight!
