Just a very quick report and probably boring on our little dressage outing last night. It was just a riding club competition (BD judge) but G hasn't been out for almost two years
for various reasons and I knew it would be quieter than going straight out at BD again.
Anyway i'm chuffed to bits with him. He loaded quickly when we left, got off and stood patiently tied up at the lorry, warmed up ok (despite the muppet in there with us). To be honest I couldn't have given a flip how the tests went but he got 69% in P18 and 60% in N36 (little bit of spook and we didn't really nail the mediums)...he came second in both classes
.
We had some lovely comments 'Simply a super horse! Correct head carriage with suppleness of frame' and 'Lots to like here' and 8's and a 9 for his canter. We had a bit of a run in with the low rope marker in the arena (he stepped on it and scared himself for a couple of strides) and the comment 'Small disturbance, touched arena furniture' cracked me up a bit.
He then walked straight onto the lorry to go home.
A couple of photos my dad took -
From Dani's camera -
And sniffing out the ladies...
Thanks to driver Dad (and secretly brilliant photographer...who knew?!) and chief banana-feeder/photo taker/horse holder Dani (Joya).
