dressage legal alternative bit?

I bought a neue schule trans universal bit for my boy and he goes lovely in it.

only thing is that obv it isnt dressage legal- any suggestions of anything similar that i cud wear? or do u thinkt hat if i put in a loose rign snaffle day of comp he wont notice a change or is that just wishful thinking???

thank you- would this work in pretty much the same way. the other one jsut makes him very soft in the mouth and working well whereas in normal loose ring snaffle he wud fight a bit with his head when u put any pressure on him.

would the hanging type make him soften as much and relax? or is it the mouthpiece that makes the most difference? thanks! i have only ever ridden my horses in loose ring snaffles but this boy is not as striagth forward so need more help!!

Just thought. Could you borrow a hanging cheek from someone 1st (even if it is a french link one) or maybe try your universal with the rein attached to the center ring (so less poll pressure) to try and find out if it is the mouthpiece or the poll pressure your horse is responding to, before you fork out on another expensive bit.
