I know these 2 do the same sort of version - the Ultra one, with the lozenge in the middle.

Are these dressage legal? I didnt think non-usual-metal was allowed?

And in your opinion - which is best? KK or Neue Shule? I feel my boy has gotten a little bit too used to his usual basic Myler and feel he could do with something else and have heard good things about this.

Yes both very much legal - I have the neue schule lozenge bit for my lad and he is lovely and accepting of it, i'd certainly recommend it.

Strangely he didn't get on with a KK, but I know others who do and think its fab.

The KK lozenge used to have a couple of bumps where it linked together which causes some horses discomfort because the two bumps make two pressure spots on the tongue. I had my ID x TB in one for 3 years and she used to snatch at the bit quite a lot. Swapped her into a NS on the advice of my instructor and, as if by magic, the head snatching stopped straight away.
Think that KK have changed the design to solve this problem but I prefer the NS anyway (although I now use a flexibit instead!)

Strangely I had the opposite problem - started youngster in an NS but she always fussed with it too much - swapped to a KK ultra and problem solved.......
