Can anybody give me some inspiration for new music? I can't really afford to have in proffesionaly done at the moment and I know a really good DJ who is going to burn a disk of some of his own music for me but I don't think I'm going to have it in time to edit it.

I use to use some of 'The Shadows' stuff that suited her really well but I very bored of that now and I don't think it would fit the new floor plan either. She has quite a slow natural rhythm so fast beats don't suite her at all.

Any advise very very gratefuly recieved!

some of those big band glenn miller type things are good. i always used to think it was better if the audience (and the judges!) could instantly identify the piece, sometimes the music people use is eclectic they really might as well not have bothered. i have also used ballet music and thought i was being really obvious til i discovered that everyone else was so busy avoiding being obvious that using the obvious was actually quite unusual!!
i must say that the best thing i used though it was for a display so it didnt make about the vocals was a depeche mode track enjoy the silence because i could trot in the verses and canter in the chorus.

I compeletely agree that people should instantly reocnise whats playing. I like the ballet idea, and the tempo of most of those should really work too. I may have to pop into HMV at lunch and see what they have - I'd have no idea what to search iTunes for.

Thanks Lucretia
