Dressage Numnah or Saddlecloth?

Do you wear a numnah or saddlecloth for dressage and do you compete affiliated or unaff? Every dressage report page in H&H show pictures of horses in saddlecloths never numnahs and I was wondering if they are preffered for affiliated competitions.

I do unaffiliated and use a numnah for two reasons 1) my horse is short coupled and I think a square saddlecloth is too bulky and 2) I think it covers more area and therefore makes them hotter.

I think it is just fashion to use a saddlecloth but also it's easier to put sponsor logos or names on them.

Numnah is perfectly acceptable and it doesn't have to be white either!
I use a brown numnah on my bay horse.
