Being ambitious as I am, I do want a new saddle (invisible money somewhere!

) as my thorowgood is a pain in the arse.

I don't know what to get first. I am going to take monster BE next year, obviously dressage saddle not compulsory till intermediate (think?), but I don't know which one to get first!

I think both shall improve my position and have me riding more effectively. Dressage shall hopefully make it easier to ride dressage lol, and jumping saddle hopefully should improve jumping position (mine is shocking atm >_<).

So, any suggestions as what to get first?

It's not compulsory to wear a dressage saddle at intermediate or any level of BE. You can do dressage in a SJ saddle, but you'll find it hard to SJ/XC in a dressage saddle. So I would go for the SJ saddle

Yep was in same stuation, and have a lovely jump saddle, as dieseldog says, you can do dressage in a jump saddle, but cant jump in a dressage saddle.

Thanks guys for the feedback.

Dunno where I got the idea about dressage saddles being comp :S.

Forgot to mention that if I bought a dressage saddle, I would keep my thorowgood, even though I hate it.

Shall now go look for nice saddle makes, I can't remember the one I want >:[
