Ralph has bounced back from a crap year and attacking this season with great zealous! I think his time off has done him and me good.

We have been out to Oldencraig and some other venues and this week achieved 65.9% in a prelim, with a fantastic and inspiring comment from the judge stating ' one to affiliate'. I was walking on air as we have had nothing but negativity from showing as a hunter.

When is the right time to affiliate? Should I wait or go for it? Can you do both? Questions, questions!!!!

I have just affilated for the first time, we have are first outing on Friday. im only doing the Prelim class which you dont have to be affilated for but the reason i have affilated is one you will have an approved judge marking you and and if you are scoring 60% and upwards you will get dressage points, but soon after a couple of outings at affilated if the venue are doing an easy Novice class i can also have a go at that to. But its when you feel ready really. this is just a personnel thing but i found some unaffliated shows quite clicky....but sounds like you are doing really well go for it...

ah am i right in thinking that if you get more than 60% in two classes between certain dates there are qualifers you can do, im new to this so please excuse if wrong?

1st or 2nd and over 65% to go to regional. There are winter and summer ones, must get score in qualifiers.
Over 60% in two classes and you can enter area festival but you cannot enter both at same level
