Dressage - permitted saddle cloths

Hi,
I've got my first dressage comp next week but I've realised I don't have a white saddle cloth.
Are only white & black allowed or could I get away with dark green or grey?

Ive used grey numerous times and never been pulled up ok only local unaffiliated level but still dressage

I think it's any plain conservative colour, so dark green or grey should be fine

Was about to say - I would use a white one or go without (as I've done in the past through forgetting things, doh!).

He uses a gel pad so I don't feel comfortable having that directly on his skin. Might just just to get a white cloth

The BD rules book states:

If used, saddle cloths may be white/cream or a dark conservative colour.

But if you are going HC anyway it won't matter

I thought I had seen somewhere that even if a competitor is competing HC that rules must be adhered to - including tack etc? A dark coloured saddlecloth would be fine - but don't know where I had seen that now!

A dark conservative colour is allowed under the rules. I would probably opt for grey out of a choice of grey/green

Oh why is dressage so confusing??!!
I think I'll just get a white cloth as it may be useful for sj (if we get to leave the ground!)

I had a brown numnah to go on my brown saddle when I did my first few unaffs.
