Does anyone know how they compare in price? Our riding club has just had its award evening , there were trophies and rosettes for points throughout the season. I don't want anyone to think I don't appreciate rosettes but I love the BD petplan, regional and championship plaques as I can put then on the horses top stable door. I would love to suggest to them we have team plaques for each discipline instead of rosettes . They could still award the trophies but then all team members could get a plaque instead of points placings, as some take part in teams but get nothing and others get loads.
I don't want to suggest it without knowing the cost and where to get them from.
HELP

Sounds like a great idea, I like getting rosettes but I can't put them outside my stable and they end up in a box at home. Plaques sound like a much better idea, although I think they work out quite expensive, I mean it cost me £13 just to get a trophy engraved!
I should think any engraver/trophy shop would have them.

I was just thinking of the ones you get from BD . They would just say , depending on discipline, something like;

They are printed on metal rather than engraved

Get in touch with James Broome at Cricklands, they sell them for the championships, they are only about a tenna, so he must get them in cheaper than that ?

I love the idea of plaques at shows, in France they give them out all the time and I have been to yards in Germany where the walls are filled with them. they look great and are a super keepsake, much better than rosettes, which just seem to collect dust.

My mum does some fantastic rosettes at a very reasonable price. They are all well made and says that if she wont have them hanging on her wall they WILL NOT go out!!!

PM me if you want her number

Agree with Cuiseline, here in France, there seems to be several types, plastic ones with lettering on, I suppose they are meant to be instead of rosettes, these end up on the stable door.Then there are the metal ones, again with lettering on, and then the very precious ones, given by the Conseil Generale.The metal ones are in my house though, too precious to be nailed up outside!!
