Magic and I went out for our first competition on Saturday for riding club unaff dressage.
They were large classes and we managed respectable scores of 64.07% in Prelim 12 and midway through the class (highest placed RC member so still got a frilly) and 67.69% for 5th in Prelim 14. We were part of a team of three and we managed to come second as a team overall so a pretty good day out!
Dressage is definitely a work in progress for me (why can’t I sit up straight?!) , but Magic was a superstar all day. She’s so easy to take out and about and is just generally chilled about life.
It’s all very low key and we’re not setting the world alight but I’m really enjoying riding again after a long slog trying to sort out Ed.
I haven’t been out competing for almost a year since losing Ed and it’s definitely given me the bug again!
