Dressage report.

We went to Stourhead in wiltshire today to do dressage. It is a lovely venue - i have never been before. It is on grass so obviously not to everyones taste but as my boy events i thought he would probably cope.
Did the two prelims as we only have 3 points left in prelim. He won both classes with 70 and 71% so as you can imagine i was really chuffed. Have now got my qualification for the winters and can forget prelim now and concentrate on novice!
We have the regionals on Monday (prelim and novice) so will just take him for a canter to stretch his legs tomorrow.
I'm not expecting great results at the regionals cos hes a spooky devil and the atmosphere gets to him far more than it does me!! What will be will be!!

Just wanted to say well done. Super result and proves eventers can beat the rest at dressage..(I get really cross when I hear people saying the standard is lower than puredressage)

Thanks everyone. Yes HH eventers can hold their own in pure dressage even if i am just at the lower levels.
I am at KM on monday. Both my tests are around lunch time. What about yours bbmat? i will look out for you. My trainer, Adam Kemp knows how spooky my boy can be and just said 'dont worry, i will be there to pick you up if he throws you on the floor!' Theres confidence for you.!
Luckily i dont get nervous at these things cos i just do it for fun and any good results are a bonus.

Ah interesting I used to train with Adam Kemp! I am on at 3.40, not doing the warm up .. I think there are some pretty impressive horses doing the Novice open... Nibeley uthopia and a Matt frosts young horse for starters..

I am restricted, thank goodness!! My horse is called Last of the Moets. I might not see you cos i am booked to take my other horse XC schooling at 5pm so need to get one home and get sorted for the next one, but good luck if i dont see you. Looking forward to your report!!

Thanks for the good luck! I am planning on about an hours warm up! So you might see him having a whoopie when I first get on.. which he usually does at a show!

37 at the moment. Once the new rules come into place on 1st Dec. it will be 49.
