Hello,

I have did my first dressage (unaff) Intro B last week with a school horse. I don't know much about the score means. Would anyone kindly explain to me?

I got 63.9% and came into 2nd. Does it count as good, average, or low scored? I read some people scored higher than I but got in a lower place, and some scored lower than I, have the first. I understand that dressage is more compete against self rather than others. But it would be good to know where I am in the society.

Also, I had with read, would that other cause to achieve this marks?

Many thanks!

Simples, highest score wins.

Sounds to me like they split the class up to ensure you all got a placing and ribbon.

Respectable score, you should be pleased.

RE: guido 16

Thank you for your reply!

True, they split into two groups, and seems to be school horses into one, the other own horses into other one.

What do you think about the test by read? Would the school horse respond partially to the verbal aids?

Big thanks

RE: The angel littlelegs

Thank you for your compliment.

Yes, I have received the paper, there is some comments, but one I don't really understand " work to improve the softness of his ( horse) frame for really high marks" How do I achieve it?

Really I'd have to see the horse, & you to give specific advice. Best bet is to go through it with your instructor next lesson. But, it is hard to make a long lasting improvement to a horse ridden by lots of people, so don't worry too much. Re having the test called out, I doubt the horse was responding to voice commands. Many do, don't get me wrong, but when the caller was doing your test, normal practice is to say the movement before it needs to be done, so the rider can prepare & ride the movement in the right place & time. If your horse had just been going off the callers voice, chances are transistions etc would have been too early & would have been noted on your sheet. And few horses respond to voice commands like 'track left' anyway.

Thank you for your time.

Shame that I don't really know how to insert a picture from computer rather than other method. I will take your advice to speak to my instructor in next lesson.

Very true that, the caller do call in advance. Totally understand after your explanation, also wondering Do horses have a high intelligence especially school horses those have been riden so many times in the same school remember all the markers is. (because I read from somewhere horse intelligence is equal to 13 years old child,is that true?)
