Looking to get a dressage saddle for my full TB and will be getting a saddler etc but interested in people's recommendations.

He's a typical thoroughbred with quite a high wither and not an enormous amount of topline - not at all a warmblood shape. I used to have an ALbion SLK but it didn't fit him - had a 4 point contact

Have put up a picture (chestnut on right) so if anyone has a TB that looks like that and has found a dressage saddle to fit, let me know!

wintec isabelle caire....my mare has a very high withers and we have finally got the saddle to fit correctly gone from a narrow to a wide its been lifted with inserts at the front with a few pads until she muscles up!

thorowgood do a high wither...i personally didnt like the saddle!

Yup i am another person with very high withered horse and use a wintec isabella fits brilliant and it has changable gullets for those fat/thin times of year!.

I have one similar shaped horse that I used the Isabell Werth on, Only s3lling it as I have inherited a Barry Swain. (find my Rodbaston PN report post and see saddle)

I have a slender TB with a long high wither and i have an ideal suzannah dressage saddle for her althought will set you back over a grand it has lomh tree points to give support and lift without having to sacrifice the width of the tree. It has deep panels to allow for her back profile and gussuts again for lift down the frount pannells.

I did have a wintec 500 and it did fit but i decided to go for something better for us both.

Oh he is gorgeous- looks like a right power pack! probably exactly the same as my TB. He had a wow dressage saddle, but went better in a saddle company dressage saddle which is about £550 new. You can get them made to measure. He went brill in it.
