Ok so I'm thinking about possibly getting a dressage saddle for Saf. I know hardly anything on the subject so would like a starting point at least. Can anyone give me an idea of brands I can start looking at. It's for my Welsh Cob mare, her current GP is a med/wide.

Any native / dressage peeps out there? I'm not made of money so obviously the cheaper the better, and I'm not too fussed about it being synthetic as I'm keeping my GP anyway. Secondhand is probable due to budget :D

I decided to lash out for a new dressage saddle for my highland. It's a Black County Eloquence saddle but with short girth straps so I can use it for showing as well. It still works perfectly as a dressage saddle but in brown it doubles as a saddle for breed showing.

Not cheap though as it was made to measure but you might be able to get one SH if you shop around.

I have an Isabel Werth Wintec dressage saddle for my Welsh cob. Absolutely love it. I bought mine second hand- mainly as I prefer the older design to the new one but they're quite reasonably priced too.

My girl is half warmblood x half welshie and she was fitted with an Albion Platinum Royale dressage saddle. It fits her great and keeps those big shoulders free :)

Isabel Werth changeable gullet by wintec - use it on all the chunkier types, really comfortable. :)

Should have mentioned, would love it in brown but realise this probably limits my secondhand choices. Can always get a cheap black bridle to match i guess but not sure what Saf would look like in black tack (she's chestnut).
