Ok so im looking into buying a dressage saddle, will be my first one so dont really know what to go for. I've ridden in a few and quite like the deep seat saddles, cant remember what make it was, or are all dressage saddles deep seat now? I really dont know lol. I currently have a whitaker jumping saddle which i absolutly love and i know whitaker dont do dressage saddlees but wanting to keep it around that quality if not better. I should also mention i am on a tight budget so need it to be a reasonable price?? If anyone has any suggestions on a good saddle it would be much appreciated :)

Try Matt Marlow of the English custom made saddle company - I've got two of his dressage saddles. I have a Cheshire and and Wilmslow. I love the Cheshire - best saddle I've ever ridden in, but I can't get to grips with the Wilmslow - it's not the saddle, it's just not suited to my riding style - I think it's too advanced for me!

The website if www.heritagesaddlery.co.uk.

Try asking out a saddle fitter who deals with second hand saddles - try a selection and see what fits you and your horse best. I did that a few years ago with Alene from Stirlingshire and got a very good Albion SLK for a fraction of the cost new. She brought over a dozen saddles within my price range. She was happy to leave me with the saddle to try at livery yard for a week to be certain. Great service.

Saddles direct have a good selection of second hand saddles. You'll get a good Derby House Kentucky for sensible money. Albions are also a safe bet and you can get the stamp number under the saddle flap, contact Albion and they will tell you how old it is and exact model and size.
Ideal jessica is popular too.
I used to ride in an Albion Legend (quite old) and if loved it. However the main this is to find one that fits you and your horse. They are all so different.
