Hi everyone,

I hope this is the right place to pop this post.

What dressage saddles do you have on your natives? My mare can only take up to 16.5 and is XW which makes finding one for her spectacularly difficult.

Thanks,

Char

I have an Albion dressage saddle and it fits my barrel-like cob perfectly. Might be worth seeing if they make one short enough and wide enough for your girl.

AH Saddles. Mine is half Welsh, XW, 16.5 inches ? Worth a look. SBloom on here is a fitter for them and very knowledgeable.

I’ve had on natives/wide cobs:
Ideal Jessica on FWB or h&c tree
Black county do nice ones (at the time I went for the ideal, but it was a close call)
Bliss Paramour (spendy option) - my favourite
Tree shape is critical, so get a good fitter to guide you on what shape you need.

Ideal and back country fit well. I have a LM saddle at the moment and it’s so comfy too!

Same here. The Albion is very comfy - the only downside is that I think it was made with someone shorter in mind.
