I have been looking for several months for a saddle that suits my horse. My saddler left me with an almost new, Isabell Werth with Cair that my horse absolutly loves. Now, if I am completely honest I tried the Amerigo with a different saddler and loved it and the horse went well in it too. Now back to the Isabell, I think that it puts me in a good position but find it quite hard and "Bottom Numbing", is this because it has cair or because it is almost new and it will soften with use or will I just get used to it. It is definately not too small for me before anyone asks? I have never had a saddle with air before as my horse bronked when we put a Bates Innova on him so was quite sceptical when we tried it but as I said to my suprise, he loves it and goes well in it. Also, what do you guys think of Cair and does it help minimise back problems? Many thanks

I would try the Sue Carson with air before you make your mind up, we tried many saddles until both my husband and daughter rode in the SC ones.
The horses love them, they are ultra-comfortable to sit in and some excellent bargains come up on ebay. Our Cadence came that route, £570 plus £50 to have it fitted to our horse.
They most definitely aren't bottom numbing so do have a look. (SC has some SH ones in as a rule)

Is it a wintec Isabell or a bates one? I have a Bates Isabell which I love (really comfy for me and the horse). I was also so impressed withe cair that I went and brought a wintec GP with cair for everyday use.

I can't comment on the Isabel I'm afraid, I have never sat in one, but I doubt the problem is the result of the Cair system. I have had 3 Bates Cair saddles, a GP, dressage and currantly the VSD. I have used them on 4 horses. They have all gone well in them and I have found them very comfortable. I have heard the Isabel is difficult to fall from due to its nice deep seat and that has to be a good thing
