I have a fab Passier saddle which I bought new for my Warmblood as it was the only one that fitted at the time and I needed a saddle asap! The only problem with it is the seat is too big for me, despite being a 17", it comes up huge. It is only 3 months old and at some point I may have to change it. I would love another Passier but not sure they do them any smaller although I am on the case.

Wondering what else to consider looking at? I've tried various Jaguars and prefer my Passier (although Jaguar seats come up smaller). I have heard the new Prestige is good? Or anyone have an Amerigo? Never tried an Albion either. The saddler said my boy is easy to fit so I'm willing to try anything, even made to measure if it means it will fit us both and not just him!

Before you spend horrible amounts of money of a nice new saddle, why not try a seat saver on it? How much 'too big' is the saddle? I have long legs so I have a 18" saddle. However I don't have the ass to go with it, so find the seat on a 18" is too big for me - I'm most comfortable in a 17". I now have a HM seat saver and have found it makes the saddle that little bit smaller. It's also dead comfy;) You could pick on up on ebay and if you don't like it, sell it on for little loss.

I've just brought an Amerigo I'm completely in love with - I hate huge saddles so you don't get the same feel. The Amerigo has a nice petite seat on a wide tree.

I use to have a kieffer that was ok, please don't get a albion! Le Riche are quite nice.

But Hennigs are amazing and made for horse and rider and are changeable so no need for new saddles!

Thanks for the replies. Yes I'm not keen on the look of Albion, even the new one. If Amerigo seats come up small I might try one of them, they look lovely.

I tried an Albion a few days ago and the seats are TINY on them. I am 5'8 and couldn't fit into the 17.5 seat without terrible pain in my bum - I felt like a baby elephant even though I don't think I'm that fat

. I am interested in the Amerigo too - I saw some nice 17.5 second hand ones for sale - but it wll be no good if it fits small like an Albion. I share a horse and I have a horribe feeling we may end up with a saddle for my friend (Albion) and a saddle for me (WOW) which is such a waste of money. At least with my WOW I have dresssage and jumping flaps so don't need two GP's too

dont rule out albion dressage without trying, i'm short 5'3 with very short legs and have a chunky 16.3 who needs a wide fit saddle. my saddler got him an albion K2 wide fit with a narrow waist on the seat for me, all the others i tried didnt fit us both as well and now i feel like i've come home when i sit in it. I know alot people seem to slate albion but it's served me very well and i probably wouldn't have looked at it if i'd read what people have said on here first.
