Any honest opinions good or bad please!! I have a very nice VSD saddle made to fit my horse as he has an elongated wither and a thick backbone but I am after a dressage saddle. I have the option of 5 girth straps with my present saddle and the girth fits snugly where it should do. I have tried a couple of saddles on but when the girth straps hang down where they should be, it would make the girth sit well away from the girth groove half way down his tummy!! I don't have a great deal of money left over from buying my present saddle and I was looking at trying to buy something with more variety of girthing options and a changeable gullet. Am not bothered if it is synthetic or leather or 2nd hand.

I've got a Wintec Isabell, which has a y-girth arrangement, which is very adjustable - it has velcro on the back strap, and f you undo the velcro, and shorten or lengthen the strap, you get about 4/5 inches of horizontal adjustment. The front strap is attached to the front of the saddle, but lies at a backward angle, so its also quite moveable

Sorry to hijack but what's the tree like in this Auslander? I know the old Wintecs were more curved but heard some people saying the new Isabell is very flat - I'd be interested to know if that is true!

my favourites are ideal Jessica although the lovely one I had didn't end up fitting either of my horses so had to sell :( I really love my lavinia Mitchell dressage saddle best money spent ideal for the wider horse.

Some horses don't suit the short girth on a dressage saddle you can have them changed I tend to as I do showing with mine.

Mine isn't a new new one, but it is the newest version of the older one. It has a pretty flat tree - wouldn't fit Alf otherwise.
They are also great if you plan to re-sell at some point. I advertised mine yesterday morning, and it was sold by teatime. It's being picked up this morning, so now I'm panicking about having no saddle!
