Ive been looking on the internet and have decided i would really like to get an experienced dressage horse on loan but i dont know how easy it would be.

My requirements;

no bigger than 16.2hh (only 5ft 2)
Mare or gelding (unlike most people i LOVE mares)
Above elem, ideally medium/advanced

Im really not fussy about age or colour, i am just really keen to learn all the moves so i can buy a younger horse in the future.

DO you think this is realistic? I am desperate to do well

Put an advert in H&H wanted and also look on the BD classifieds website.

You may find some-one who would be interested in loaning you a horse but I would imagine they would want you to ride to a reasonable standard already.
There are probably a fair few older dressage horses looking for an easier life.

Thank you, will take your advice. My own horse is schooling at elem and i have ridden my friends advanced horse, im not perfect but i can deal with issues and school to a good standard.

Even an older horse, late teens would be great!
