Did our first walk trot test scored 60.43% and just done second one today and scored 63.48% just not sure where this mark would be on average....and also is this a good enough mark to move up to next level or should we be doing a few more of these first ?

thanks

You should be happy, it's quite often the case that the second test of the day is better then the first.

As faracat says, how established is your canter?
No harm in maybe doing a few more into tests to get in the high 60's then maybe do an intro and a prelim on the same day.

With my boy he did two shows at intro then next one moved up. When he moved up he got 2nd and 1st. Like you, second test better than first.

Well done.

If canter established then move up, if not yet, do a few more intros

was this at baxter wood (noticed you were in durham same as me?)

i think if you go local places where there isnt pressure you should have a go at a prelim, i know a few today did an intro to sort of warm up then into prelim

hi caroline yes it was baxters today....got a shock how well behaved she was...we came 5th lol...couldnt believe it...my giraffe actually did me proud lol :) Yeah our canter is very good on the right rein but i struggle to get correct lead on left first time but i am working on this !
