I dont know if anyone has seen, but i have recently been posting about my stressy mare, and her lack of consisency in her mood. Some days she is sane and other days practically unridable.
I have been battling with the dilema whether to enter for a dressage test today for a few weeks, and after being good and trying a new calmer i decided to go for it. Naturally yesterday she was a total witch, in which i spent the whole night not sleeping!!
Anyway, we went to the test today, with me chewing my fingers off, never mind my nails.
My boyfriend was riding her, since he is a better rider, and i am still recovering from her breaking my coccyx last year. By the time they went in, i was actually shaking. Im not normally a stressy person, but i wanted her to be good!
So she went in, and she is still over bent quite alot but we are working on that. She kept her serious head on and did as she was told! A few mishaps when she changed leg instead of doing counter canter, and then she got a bit fresh at the end and did a small gallop instead of medium canter!
BUT overall it was a lovely picture. Her very first elementary, and only her third ever dressage test so i was one very proud mummy!!! She got 56% which i know isnt the best score ever, but she has had a difficult past, and is a rescued pony, so i am so mighty proud
Heres a few pics so i can be a boastful mummy for five minutes
