Hi there

My daughter has just gone through a really awful few months she had her horse PTS and things have just generally been awful for her and so to cheer her up and give her a new focus she has inherited (from me) my dressage boy, he is nearly 17 and loves his job and she fancies doing some DTM to have a bit of fun. Can anyone suggest where we can start?? We live in Derbyshire and any pointers would be really appreciated

Or, it may be a good idea to go to a couple of shows, where there is DTM and watch and see how its done, and speak to the judges about how to make a floor plan, and which sort of music to use and everthing else you want to know.

Then find an instructor near you to help get it all together

That's because there are very few!

The Pony Club runs a few (I think Moreton Morrell and the championships) and some local riding clubs have a DTM class, but ours cancelled it because they had to pay a huge amount to the music licencing people to hold them, even though everyone who does it has to have a music membership from BD. Things may have changed but I know that's why our RC gave up holding them. I'd suggest the PC website for a start.
