Where can I get hold of information on the compulsory movements at Prelim and Novice level for Dressage to Music?

Am i right in thinking that there are some things you aren't allowed to do without penalty and in fact you can only do movements in a Prelim Freestyle test that you can find in a standard Prelim test for example?

Is there a book?

I do hope I don't have to go to the BD site. It loathes me with a passion and the feeling is mutual.

it depends who is running it!

some have no rules at all.

I tend to do riding club stuff that has a set of rules for novice that are diff to BD and as a club we have our own prelim version.

if its BD you will have to brave their site!

you are right in thinking that you cannot include any movements that do not occur in a test at that level.

Yes you can only do moves that are required at that level , as you said prelim moves in a prelim freestyle test. Think its minus 2 marks for each move you do that is higher than the level you are at. Think test must be between 4 and 5 mins long, again marks lost for incorrect timing. Try to make sure you use as much of the school as you can to gain extra marks
