Hi there, I'm hoping someone on here will know the answer to my question. I'm doing a Have a Go at Dressage to Music and have the list from BD of the movements that give you the technical marks. They are as follows:

1) 10m half circle to the left in medium walk
2) 10m half circle to the right in medium walk
3) Medium walk (minimum of 20m)
4) Free walk on a long rein (minimum of 20m)
5) Working trot right including a circle 20m diameter
6) Working trot left including a circle 20m diameter
7) On a 20m circle in trot allow the horse to stretch for at least 20m
8) Halts at the beginning and end of the test
9) Fluency of transitions

My question is does the 20m circle in trot allowing the horse to stretch for 20m have to be a separate circle to the working trot circles?

TIA :)

Yes it does. 5 and 6 are working trot, 7 is trotting allowin the horse to take the rein forwards and stretch down, so you will have to do three 20m circles in total.

I think so, yes - they're marked separately so if you combined them they'd probably think you'd missed one of your 20m trot circles :)

It's a lot to fit into 4 mins AND still be creative, isn't it!

Thank you RiderLizzie :)

Yes, Floxie it is alot to fit in to 4 mins, hence my question lol, the first routine I made up over ran so much. 2 of the 3 tunes were nothing like my little girl's pace, luckily the 3rd tune I had on my mp3 player is okay.

It's going to be a real squeeze to fit in the 3rd circle, but I think I can just so long as I don't put in too many unnecessary bit :)

Thanks guys and wish me luck x

Could you do something like the move in novice 27? 20m circle left at E or B, the straight into the half 10m circles? So E to X, X to B. (or the other way round).

Have a flick through dressage tests with those moves in. Prelim 12, novice 27 both have half 10m circles, prelim 19 has loads of circles.
