Thursday - Took Pops to the Royal for a couple of tests. She was lovely, and very grown up! Was a little tired by the time we went in for the first test (BE PN110) as they were running late so she had too much warm up, but was fab and got 67% to finish 4th out of 20. Second test (N21) was outside in the rain! Again she was very good and got 65.5% to finish 3rd out of about 15.
Today - took ellie to belmoredean for BD. Was warming up nicely when discovered she had a nose bleed! Back to the lorry, cleaned her up, wasn't bleeding anymore so got back on with 7 minutes until the test (great as she needs a good 1/2 hr warming up!). Went in, did a lovely buck
and then a slightly unsettled test, not suprising considering the warm up but disappointing as shes so capable of a really good mark. Ended up 3rd in the open (4th o/a) with 61.72%.
Decided not to do the second test as the canter work hasn't been going well at home, ie havent actually managed to do all the counter canter without her giving me a change!!
