I entered him in for the walk and trot test last week and this morning was the show down! What a remarkable change I saw in him today. He was extremely quiet working in and didnt mind that we had to share the warm up with "pretend eventers" zooming around without much thought to others or of horse etiquette(sp)
I couldnt get the litte bugger out the warm up into the ring (que stomping feet and hissy fit) so to keep things quiet and calm I asked my friend to lead him in (oh the shame!)
I wasnt in it to win it so to speak I just wanted to see if I could keep him calm in a ring....
As soon as he got in there he turned into a little gentleman and did nearly everything I asked of him. I couldnt of been more pleased with him...going away with a rossette wouldnt of been the joy of it- the fact that this was our first show back together and we did well was award enough... well the little man managed to give me a score of 67.69% and got us 3rd place. To think he has only been back 7 weeks with me and how well he has got back into work- Im very happy with him.
I overheard someone say today "shall we watch this lady in the ring" and her friend said "no- its only walk and trot" and started laughing- I felt like saying to you its a walk and trot test but to me its everything- cheers Flint!!!
