Could anyone recommend a good freelance dressage trainer who'd be willing to travel to my yard nr Chipping Norton / Stow?

I've competed to elementary in the past and have a young 4 year old that I'd like help with to bring on and hopefully take to Medium. I know there are lots of serious world class trainers in the area - but I think they'd be out of my league.

Thanks in advance

How about Andrew Gould? He travels everywhere and is a really good trainer. If you email his wife she always replies within the same day - www.priorydressage.com - their email address is on thier website.

Personally i think its worth looking around and perhaps having lessons witha couple of different trainers before you decide who to use as your main trainer - different people have different styles and some peoples styles might not work on you and your horse whilst others will.

There is no harm in having 2 trainers or even 3 either - lots of riders do this. Its really beneficial in that it gives you different view points on your riding and your horse.

Sorry GD but really would not recommed this person there are other who are A lot more empathetic.
Gareth hues and Peter would get my vote.

Fair enough, but if you have a rather difficult baby then Paul will sit on anything. Whilst peter (understandably) is a little more reserved!
I have trained with all 3, and all have different skills to bring into a partnership, depending on what you and your horse need!

Thanks everyone... but now I'm TOTALLY confused as to who to go for!!!!!!

I'm after someone local, who's a quiet, patient sort of trainer and who'd be good with a sensitive baby horse.

Who'd you think would fit the bill????

Thanks
