Sorry, I know there are often quite a few of these!

Im looking for someone who can help me with my mare, she's 10 and we're only really working at prelim level, getting ready to do novice tests. She works well but I just need someone I can go to a few times a month just to keep us on track.

I have regular jumping lessons, but would like to go for a few specific flatwork sessions

My local RC has some clinics coming up, one with Virginia Brinton? I'm just worried about going to these clinics, or phoning instructors, who don't want to work with someone who's only at prelim/trying for novice level dressage!

Any help appreciated!

Sissons Farm at Peterborough run clinics with Chris Porterfiled (Judge) sometimes & she is really good & will help you at whatever level. Being a senior judge you get that perspective too. Plus they have Steph Cooper for clinics, but not had lesson with her so can't comment.

Bev Brightman GP Rider at Colmworth in Beds is ok. Can get lessons with her through Huntingdon & District Riding Club. Again happy to take any level.

Good luck

Hey there, I had lessons with a Jill Day and found her to be excellent, and I was working at elementary- competing novice on a pony. My lessons with her were as good as the lessons she was giving much better people on very expensive horses. She's based around Haverhill way, her email is on the BD site. I found Jill to be cost effective too! I've also heard good things about Natalie Bushell who teaches in the area, I think her married name is Banks. You can find her details off the Huntingdon and District riding club website (google!).

I go to Bev Brightman, and find her excellent. She's quite loud and booming and very direct but in a funny way, which is not everyone's cup of tea, but makes me laugh! She very quick to praise too, which I also like, otherwise I'd just give up and take up needlepoint.

She's certainly got me going on the dressage front, so I'd recommend her.

Natalie is great (so I would echo Bubbles), she trains with some good trainers herself.

Bev Brightman also has a super reputation and both these do stuff through Huntingdon & District RC.
