Hi Everyone

Looking for some advice please on best places to go for dressage training?

We are hoping to buy a house around Nantwich area (still only looking at this stage) and Im desperate to buy another horse once we are settled.

I want to be on a yard where I can get regular training and advice rather than having a trainer come to me/or me to them once a week.

I have looked on the BD website and noticed a few names listed on there, but I dont know whether they are any good or whether they have there own yards offering competition livery. I am totally out the loop these days having only just moved back to the UK after about 10 years away(!) - hence why I would really like to be on a good 'dressage focused' yard.
Once I find a yard it will also help me know where to look for my house! ;)

If anyone knows of anywhere in the cheshire/North Shropshire or Staffordshire area I would really REALLY appreciate some/any help!? :) Equally let me know of any I should maybe avoid!!??

TYxxx

Not sure if Winsford may be too far, but Tracy Watson is at least on the right side of Nantwich for you! I've just moved out of Chesh (nr Middlewich), moving from Tracy's yard, very helpful staff, nice yard. Tracy gives lessons etc, she offers quite a lot, although I was just a simple assisted DIY case as I'm poor :p Might be worth contacting her though http://www.tcequestrian.co.uk/

Hi

There is also us, we are on the A49 in Little Budworth and we have Val Smyth on our yard, and with our new arena surface just bedding in but going lovely, it wont be long before we are hosting dressage events and clinics.

Thanks

Wow TY so much everyone :) Its a huge help having insider knowledge!
Please, any other suggestions, keep them coming.

Some I think might be too far, but I'm certainly going to check most of them out! Drag my (non horsey) husband out and about - he WILL be pleased!! Haha bless him, he shouldn't have married a crazed horsey woman :D

Chestnut Cob - Beaver Hall's website shows Lee Pearson as one of their trainers - how fab would that be to have lessons with him!! What an inspirational guy. Just not sure my bank balance would be too happy.....but worth it :)

New Barn Livery in Knutsford also hosts Lee Pearson clinics now occasionally I believe, as well as having lots of other bits & pieces going on by the looks.

Alsager not really a dressage yard. Holds unaff. comps to Novice level, rarely beyond that. (been on there! and a fair few of other yards in Cheshire...). Has 4 good arenas though, and if you like to jump, having a course available pretty much all the time is nice. Happy to PM with extra info on the yards in Chesh I have been on, good or bad. We moved around a lot
