I've sent off all my entries for this but stupidly just looked back on the schedule and confused myself.

Can anyone tell me how the championship works as its one day I believe? Do you ride the same test twice? enter two prelims in the same section (open/restricted/fledgings) to get your % that creates the overall championship scores?

Sorry - numpty question, I'm a bit oblivious!

I think you have to enter the two different tests at the same level :) and then your average percentage works out your overall placing
eg. classes 8 & 9

See you there! I'm on a chunky piebald with a blue eye

Okay - I've emailed the woman who runs it so that when she gets my entry i can swap it round! :/ Silly me!

I will keep my eyes open for you! I will be on a very hairy dun blanket spot appaloosa!

I had not heard of this this until I saw this post. Looks interesting is the standard the same sort of level as BYRDS? Is it worth being a member as well as being a member of BYRDS? I had a quick look at their website is there much training available I could not see much evidence but it may just be that they have not put any dates in yet.

U21s UK is effectively unaffiliated BYRDS. The organisation isn't part of BD and has no link to the BYRDS scheme, squads or teams other than riders may be members of both.

Having said that, a fair number of good young riders have started with U21 UK, graduating to BD & BYRDS when more experienced, so seems to be a good way of getting going in an environment focussed on the younger rider.

Sorry to re-post (again!) I had an email through a few days ago to say the Prelim 19 has been scrapped so I've been moved into the Prelim 12 section (was originally doing P7 & 19 restricted)
What is the format of it...?! Like is it the highest % over two tests in each section (restricted/open/fledgings) to win sash's/rugs etc or is it highest % in one test over all sections... if I make ANY sense?!

You seem to know your stuff about this event! What classes are you doing? :)

Not to worry! I believe its across each level. As you have entered the two prelims your scores will be added together and whoever has the highest at each level wins :) It was very fun last year.

I'm doing the Medium 75 in the PYO in the afternoon :) Its only our second Medium, hence why I'm not doing both sections.

Ahh I'm just going to do it as a competition against myself! No idea how it works so just see at the end of the day if we've come anywhere! Giving elem our third shot as well so all in the experience! :) & Hopefully it'll be fun again!

Your first medium (on your youtube I believe!) was really good - will be there throughout the afternoon, so will try and get to watch some test! Good luck to you :)

Did you have a good day? :)

Hopefully you missed me - my test was awful! I had a rather excitable pony - extended walk became collected jog and that was double marks >.< lol

WOW!!! Well done :D and thanks :) but Mr. Pony spotted some horses charging round the fields, he decided that looked far more fun than doing a boring dressage test :D ah well, win some loose some!
