dressing up on Boxing Day

how many of your hunts allow tinsel etc on Boxing Day meets.
Im going out for the first time on Boxing Day with my 4 yo and just been told Tinsel isnt allowed as it is a formal day not casual, however tomorrows hunting day tinsel will be allowed.

IMO...tinsel on Christmas Eve not on Boxing Day!! BD is too traditional!

thats what I thought - just with so many poeple talking about dressing up on Boxing Day i thought it was odd

I kind of agree with you S_L although it does look nice if kept to a minimum

no dont think the old masters would really like it - very traditional as it should be. whooops comes to mind re hound.

must say im not afan of putting tinsel on horses at all think it looks tacky
when hunting you should look smart not tacky

ive never put tinsel on my horse - must always be very smart when I turn out

I think the kids ponies look sweet with tinsel. Adults and horses - mmm!

I remember an old master saying to a lady out hunting - Scent, my dear, is the prerogative of the quarry'. He may have been quoting someone before someone jumps down my throat to tell me that!
