Anyone been to John Parkers yard? I am a total novice who would like to try driving. Dog and I have the motorhome to ourselves for a fortnight so we can go anywhere. Any other sugestions would also be welcome!

Hubby and I are both drivers but neither of us has had the fortune to visit John Parker. He does have an excellent reputation within the BDS though, so if you fancy it, I would go - and enjoy!!

Yes he's the Patron of The British Mule society too

(Though don't know what he'd think of me driving Blue Bitless blinkerless, groomless and in a Saddlechariot!

My mate used to work there - lovely bloke, very friendly and great horses. Don't fret about being a novice - he won't consider you daft for asking questions, no matter how stupid you may think they are - it's all very relaxed and he genuinely enjoys introducing people to driving.

i can't remember her name, but there's a driving lady in Derbyshire who is/was very famous and does courses... i knew someone who went on one and had a great time. sorry, can't be more specific.
