My two boys seem to be dropping weight fairly quickly. The grass in their field is pretty poor at the moment. They are out 24/7 so they eat a lot of hours in the day.
One of them the youngster seems a bit bony to me, although his ribs are not showing. They have their small amount of grass, I now give them a slice of hay and a handful of haylege every morning, and I just started to give them a net each too. They have a small handful of pony nuts with some apple and carrots most mornings. Does this seem enough to be feeding them? it isn't really cold yet, so I think it's probably enough, but I have never had ponies out for 24/7 before this is new to me so i'm not sure I have it quite right yet. Any suggestions please? thanks.
