I really want to leave our veteran pony's rug off tomorrow, she is 37 but in good body condition and has a thick wooly coat. It is so mild tomorrow 11-12 degrees that my gut instinct is saying put her out naked for one day so she can get some air to her skin having been rugged up from head to toe all winter.

She has plenty of natural shelter and is a toughy xx

Hard to say without knowing the pony but if there is some shelter from the wind then I would say leave the rug off, your pony will probably appreciate being able to have a really good roll and a scratch!

^^agree with above but only with a good shelter, otherwise a light turnout sheet, won't be too restricting but just keep the wind of the old bones a bit. :D

Warm and windy, leave i off if she's in good health. A rug is only really good for keeping them warm and dry. If it's that mild then she will be fine and won't even notice! Will probably be grateful
