Dry skin and hair loss

As above really.

MY boy is covered in dry flakey skin, and when grooming him the hair is coming out from what appears to be the roots, so I am getting afraid to groom him at all. He has always had a couple of areas that I have to be a bit careful of, but the skin had never been this dry before.

To make matters more worrying, this monrning ,over night, he has developed a big bald patch over his belly, it looks bald, but feels fuzzy and a little scabby to the touch. I have check for lice but cant see any.

He is the wrong side of 25 and a TB, is it age? or is there anything that I can either apply on the skin or add to his feed to make is skin more moist?

Plain E45 cream should help moisturise it. Sorry can't be of more help. x

true there is a 13yr old tb on our field she has patches on her legs and top of her back,her coats coming off in sheets and she looks dry flakey and out of condition,i agree its a problem im reading about all over,summer coat should come through in a few week hopefully with the spring grass,weve been putting neem oil spray on her to see if it helps.
