Dry skin but healthy coat?

Hi just wondering if anyone could help me here, my horse has a lovely shiny healthy coat, BUT it seems like his actual skin is quite dry. He has dry shoulders and a couple of spots on his sides. He's had no change in diet or pasture or anything. He's always had sensitive skin where a slight rub would make him bald. I was just wondering if there was any supplement/oil or anything that I could give him that specifically helps with skin. Thanks

I had exactly the same problem.

The two things that have helped are linseed oil in the feed which has been fabulous, and Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Bath Spray in Soft and Fresh (it's white bottle with blue label) which you spray on or mix with water and wipe over.

You could try Super Skin from equus health. It contains linseed and other herbs to help nourish the skin. I have found it quite effective in the past.
