Dry skin on a Min Pin - what works ?

Just asking for a friend who has a miniature Pinscher with dandruff.
I know it's quite common in Doberman type breeds but would welcome any suggestions as to supplements to add to her feed.
She is having Barking Heads feed which contains salmon and other fishy things! Friend has also tried coconut oil in her feed and oil of primrose. Not much improvement though!
Any ideas please!

If she is sure it isn't a problem that needs a veterinarian to solve it, then even though I've not had quite the same problem, I still wanted to suggest something she maybe could try. Many years ago, when my first Norwegian Buhund became old, her coat began to, sort of, look dry and tired. So I bought a big bottle of olive oil, massaged it into her coat all the way down to the skin, left it on for about 10 minutes, bathed her with a gentle shampoo and conditioner, and when she was dry again, her coat looked once again like it did when she was young.

Maybe it doesn't help with your friend's dog's dandruff problem, but perhaps it could be worth a try?
