drying rugs-Rambo, Dri rug etc

a friend has recently bought a Dri rug and i must admit i am loving the none stick outer and she promises it dries the horses in 20min flat................

it is £180. yikes.

the Rambo grey towelling rug is a no go as all i hear is horror stories of horses rolling, and that shavings will NOT brush off it and then it deposits bedding all over the tack room as it dries. my OCD is cringing........

is the new bright blue Rambo one any better................is it even towelling? if its just polar fleece im not paying £80 for that, i would rather suck up £180 for the actual Dri rug!

the decathlon towelling rugs also have the shaving sticking issue and i cant find any others with a none stick outer.

what say the HHO masses?!
 
I have the very fretching Decathlon dry rug, it's not toweling more a micro-fibre type? Dries well but only in erm 'bright' colours and not a 'secure' fit as it only fastens at the front so I wouldn't use it other than travelling/ drying, but does a great job for the price.

I've got one too, I love it! Its a bit like a chamois leather and a bit like microfibre. hard to describe. Nothing sticks to it and it seems to suck the water off them.

hmmmm.

for the price it would be worth getting X surcingles sewn on then....has yours got down and rolled in it? and all the bedding brushed off ok?
 
I put a surcingle over the top if I leave him with it on. I cant remember if hes rolled or not but I've def thrown it down on the bedding and left it for a while. Its weird material, I dont think anything could stick to it.
 
Yeah nothing seems to stick to mine, and Topaz is always rolling :o, though can't actually remember if she's rolled in this one? Have had it a couple of years now though and it still looks new, washes well and seems to be wearing well :).
