Drying stable floor

Rubbish title but couldn't think of anything else. What do people use to put down on rubber mats to help dry the stable floor? I have bought some of the stable fresh/dry bed/nice smelly stuff but it is quite expensive. The stable floor isn't the best, so it pools a bit and whilst I sweep well and leave the straw up of a day, it only dries out fully from time to time. Years ago (think 1970s...) we used to put lime down and google seems to say that barn lime is still a thing (who knew, not me but not sure want to use it.

Sprinkle Wood pellets down on the wettest bits and leave them all day then sweep up before you lay the bed, I find they are very absorbent and not that expensive.

Gold label stable disinfectant powder, works a treat and gets rid of the ammonia smell too. Dries fairly quickly if you put it down in the morning.

I use wood pellets as a thin base under my straw. It's been an absolute game changer for me!
