Du you think this horse looks healthy?

Well , he's lean, but shiny coated.
It look so slippy that I wouldn't be able guess how he feels going over a jump.

Not great pictures!

Take a side on with horse stood up square.
Plus one directly behind.

They we can give a better opinion!

Looks very unconvinced about jumping but again the pictures are just a split second in time.

Maybe lean and lacking top line but again very hard to see in those pictures.

photos have changed, but dreadful photos in general - they don't do the horse any favours!

A photo taken straight on to the side during the day would be way more useful? There is no point in seeing the middle half of the horse, in a dark shot at an angle

Are you thinking of going to see him? In the photo in the stable there is a strange ?sarcoid on top of front leg. He looks a nice sort, but poor and very little muscle development.

Tblover, presume this is the horse you were asking about on a previous thread (you wanted to know what wind sucking is,as a horse you wanted to view was a wind sucker)? If it is,be very careful-as others have said,he looks a bit poor and ribby, with no top line (&maybe a bit unhappy too,not sure on that one, can't really tell from photos) which could mean he's quite a bad or determined windsucker. If so,I'd keep looking at other horses, not this one-wind sucking isn't horrendous but you're better off buying one that doesn't!

Definitely a bit underweight. One of ours looks very similar at the moment and we're working hard to get the weight on him. I wouldn't be selling a horse looking like that!

He looks like he has muscle wastage due to a badly fitted saddle I would think, look at the hollows behind the shoulder, no top line across his back and lack of muscle in hind end on top of rump all indications of a tight saddle, may be why he does not look that happy jumping, can be put right if you have the correct saddle so not a massive issue.

so think you're right with the saddle problem because seller told me that he usually owns only TB's and he have no own tack for the warmblood
I will have a serios look at him first and if I like him i will call my vet for anything else

Hi,

Very difficult to say for certain with those photos - not very good TBF - If you're considering him - by all means have a look and walk away if it doesn't feel right.

:)

I'm scared when I think about to see him because if I have compassion with him is it difficult to leave
So I have no contact to an experienced rider with not so much feelings than me to take my arm and say no thats not what you are looking for

I think he looks slightly poor coming out of winter, but within a few weeks of feed and good forage would look pretty normal. He's no rescue case or anything like that, he just could be less lean with a lot more muscle.

Equally, if you're pretty inexperienced I'd say don't go. Once he's fed up, he's likely to be quite a different horse. And getting him to that point without fizzing him up or overfeeding will take experience and skill, IMO, and cost a fortune...

Have a chat with local riders/instructors/R/C and see if there is anyone prepared to go with you (plenty of horse loving and nicely nosy people out there) - and drag you away if necessary - where are you based??

I have bought most of my horses alone with vet of course
but it is difficult to leave a horse which have not an easy life and for that case i wish I had a contact that can go with me........

I don't think the fact it's coming out of a odd winter looking poor is indicative of much really. He's never going to be a 'rescue' case in that state...

Not fab condition but not in a condition that makes me think of ill health from a pic. Admittedly they have chose crappy photos, but going from them I think they have a bit of a nerve to be describing it as going well & with jumping potential. It would have to be a hell of a lot better in the flesh to be worth 2.2k. Owner sounds a bit clueless tbh, & if they've been doing the schooling it might be even worse in the flesh. Or, it could just be a good act to reel people in. Have you googled number etc?
