Dual Purpose/Mobile Hitching Mirror/Trailer Cam?

I may be trying to dream up the impossible, but is there such a thing as a mobile camera which could have the dual purpose of being a hitching mirror as well as a trailer cam, depending on where it was mounted?

It could work on wifi located in the towing vehicle, and I could set up a mount on both the back of the vehicle and inside the trailer, and just slot the camera into either mount when needed.

Picture to be received on my smartphone in the cab area.

Can anyone recommend such a gadget please?

It has a very strong magnet so can put on car or front of trailer for coupling, inside the trailer during travel and on back of trailer for reversing.

I attatched it to a tablet because the picture on a phone screen is a bit small.

I went to an event once and spoke to a lady who kept a bit of old carpet in the boot, she rolled it out so when hitching up she didn’t risk scratching the car.

My Disco had the camera on one side and its little to no use for hitching up, mirrors are better!

Thanks Jambarissa, that's brilliant! Though now I'm worried the picture will indeed be too small on my phone...

Perhaps I'll try selotaping a cheap mirror to the back as a test and then follow HopOnTrot's suggestion...

I must admit I don't quite understand where the carpet would go/fit though? I think I have a total imagination failure over all things hitching at the moment, brain is scrambled thinking too hard about it!
