Im thinking of getting one. However would like to know your thoughts on sizing. In the sense that my cob has a big head and sometimes needs a extra full and my pony has a big cob head sometimes she needs a full. So wondering if the full has a lot of adjustment on it? Or would they need one each ie a cob and a full?

I bought a rope halter off ebay, similar principal but under a tenner.

(although stupidly forgot to take it to field this evening so had to deal with a hyped tb in a headcollar who was under the impression that "two legs good, four legs bad")

I really rate the Dually halters - but I would strongly advise either watching the DVD or getting an Intelligent Horsemanship Reccomended Associate out to help you use it to begin with.

I believe they come up big - my 17.1 ISH, who has an ID head, is in the large (blue) and he usually takes an extra full or warmblood size in headcollars/bridles. To be honest - they need to fit more snugly than an ordinary headcollar, but it would be the length of schooling ropes (across the nose) that make the difference.

I think for your pony, a black (medium) would be fine - and you may well get away with that for your horse too, at least in the short term, if you just wanted to buy one to begin with.

I have been to a couple of demos on using them as very fond of Kelly Marks. Also had help from a IH lady with my old boy but never bought a Dually. I want it basically for ground work for a bolshy cob and for my girl to lead out with as her arthritus limits hers some times but she is very strong to lead out with.

Agree with all said above, they do come up pretty big!!

I've got a black which fits my 16hh IDXTB well, if anything still a fraction too big in places though.

Definitely ensure you use it just in-hand e.g in a school and watch the DVD before using it for loading or anything, it wont have nearly as good an effect!

Heres mine on my boyo incase you're interested :
