Am I right in thinking that a black dually is the right size for a youngster in a cob size head collar? And how adjustable are they? (and does anyone want rid of theirs?!)
I have a red one that I use on my 13.2hh in a cob head collar, just to throw a spanner in the works. My 16hh TB tried a black one and I was told he probably had a small enough head (no brain) for the red one too. I actually still use his noseband on the pony!
To be honest my cob has a big head lol, he wears a a full bridle but a cob headcollar. I do find they have good adjustment though. I have a red one I've used for a welsh B with a tiny head (wears a foal headcollar!) and a 13.2 with a bigger head inbetween pony and cob sizing
14.1hh cob, wears cob size headcollar and bridle etc, has the red one. He has had the black one on and it fitted but was too loose across the nose really.
My 16.2 TB has the black and it's on the tightest holes or would be too big. He is inbetween cob and full normally.
The red did actually fasten on him (just) when I borrowed one briefly.
I have the black one for my 15hh'er who takes cob sized head collar and full sized bridles, its on the second to largest hole so could prob do with the next size up. It is very stiff though so wondering whether that doesn't help
I have 2 dually headcollars, both blue for horses, over the years they have been worn by a CBxTB 16 3hh, a WB 16 2hh, a 15 2hh and now my 14hh cob with a big head, fully adjustable and I get a snug fit on all the different sized and shaped horses
